• Synergy: the behavior of the parts is not predictable by the behaviors of the individual parts. (p. 12)
  Synergy of synergies = each level predicts the next, more complex level. (p. 34)
  Entropy is energy-exporting. Syntropy is energy-importing. (p. 85)

• "Conscience dawns with the second experience" ... increment of time = "second" (p. 12)

• Special-case experiences are the way that people learn, through sensory intake and then processing and then generalizing (p. 15)

• Man cannot design a general-case anything... can only embody special-case employments of general cases (p. 21)

• Development is predictable, discovery is not. (p. 24)
